M’era Luna Festival draws 25,000 fans to Hildesheim

The M’era Luna festival drew 25,000 attendees to the Hildesheim-Drispenstedt airfield for a sold-out weekend of music and culture. The event featured 40 acts across two stages, spanning genres such as Gothic, Metal, EBM, Dark Wave, and Synthpop.

Headlining performances included Saltatio Mortis, with other notable acts such as Within Temptation, In Extremo, OMD, Lacrimosa, and Front Line Assembly. Beyond the musical performances, the festival offered a diverse cultural program including readings, workshops, a Gothic fashion show, and a medieval market.

Stephan Thanscheidt, CEO of organizer FKP Scorpio, expressed satisfaction with the event, noting the peaceful and respectful atmosphere of the community. The first artists for the 2027 festival have already been confirmed.
