Meram District Police Department breaks ground on new service building

The foundation stone for the new Meram District Police Department service building has been laid in the Meram district of Konya. The project is located in the Yenişehir neighborhood at the intersection of Gazze and Çeçenistan streets.

Developed through cooperation between the Ministry of Interior, Konya Governorship, Konya Provincial Police Department, and Meram Municipality, the new facility aims to modernize security services and provide a more effective, citizen-oriented environment. Meram Mayor Mustafa Kavuş stated that the district is undergoing a transformation in public investment, noting that the municipality continues to support necessary investments in education, health, and security.

Konya Provincial Police Chief Necmettin Koç emphasized that the modern workspace will improve working conditions for police personnel while offering a more comfortable service environment for citizens. Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay and Konya Governor İbrahim Akın also attended the ceremony, highlighting the project's importance for the region's development.
