Merca Jumbo opens 11th store in La Romana

Merca Jumbo has opened its 11th store in La Romana, Dominican Republic, expanding its presence in the eastern region of the country. The new 2,000-square-meter facility is located in the La Paz sector at the intersection of Av. Prof. Juan Bosch and C. José María Imbert.

The expansion is expected to create 90 direct jobs for the local community. The store features a self-service format with parking capacity for 155 vehicles and offers various services, including a pharmacy, Banreservas sub-agent services, and ATMs.

Zamira Guerrero Numa, Vice President of Merca Jumbo, stated that the opening is a significant step in the company's mission to provide modern and convenient shopping experiences for Dominican families. Additionally, the Merca app will be available in La Romana starting August 29 to facilitate delivery services.
