Despite the destruction, the establishment resumed operations in an improvised manner, selling preserved products in the street to long lines of customers. The owners have also launched a Pix-based donation campaign to fund the reconstruction of the site.

In Rio de Janeiro, a fire broke out at a toy store in the basement of the Mercadão de Madureira on Saturday afternoon. While the fire was initially controlled by staff and later by the Fire Department, the smoke from burning plastics and stuffed animals prompted the commercial center to close early as a precaution. No injuries were reported, and the facility is expected to resume normal activities on Tuesday.
