Mercado Libre leads Latin American corporate influence ranking

The fifth edition of the HORSE Thought Leaders 100 ranking has analyzed the digital and media influence of corporate executives and companies across 15 Latin American countries. The study utilizes big data and artificial intelligence to evaluate press coverage, social media interaction, and participation in industry forums.

Mercado Libre remains the most influential corporation in the region. Nubank follows in second place. In the executive rankings, Pierpaolo Barbieri of Ualá holds the top position, while Marcos Galperín of Mercado Libre moved to third.

Colombia saw significant representation, with Nubank founder David Vélez ranking seventh overall. Other notable Colombian executives include Simón Borrero of Rappi (12th) and Juan Carlos Mora, president of Bancolombia (10th). Chile achieved its highest level of participation in the ranking, with companies such as Latam Airlines, Falabella, Cencosud, and JetSmart making significant entries.

The report also noted a sharp decline in female representation among the ranked leaders, dropping to 12% from approximately 24% in previous years.
