Mercado Libre to expand logistics operations in León

Mercado Libre, the leading e-commerce platform in Mexico and Latin America, has announced plans to expand its operations in León, Mexico, with the construction of a new Service Center. The project is expected to become operational by the end of 2026.

The new facility will cover more than 15,000 square meters and is designed to process over 87,000 packages daily, with a capacity to provide more than 6,000 same-day deliveries. This expansion aims to strengthen the city's logistics capabilities and support distribution activities throughout the Bajío region.

León's municipal president, Ale Gutiérrez, noted that the expansion reflects business confidence in the city and is expected to drive economic activity and create new opportunities for the local population.
