Mercado Libre to invest 91 million USD in new Córdoba logistics center
Mercado Libre has announced the development of its first storage center in the Argentine interior, located in Estación Juárez Celman, Córdoba province. The project involves a 91 million dollar investment and will span 60,000 square meters.
Scheduled to begin operations by late 2027, the facility will serve as a central supply hub for last-mile delivery depots in the central, Northwest (NOA), and Northeast (NEA) regions of the country. It will have the capacity to store up to 6 million products, aiming to enable same-day or next-day delivery in Córdoba and reduce shipping times in northern Argentina.
The project is expected to generate up to 2,000 direct jobs and hundreds of indirect positions. This initiative is part of Mercado Libre’s broader 3.4 billion dollar investment plan for Argentina this year. The development will be carried out by Plaza Logística, a partner that has already constructed four logistics centers for the company in the country.
