Mercadona to close several stores on October 24 due to local holidays

Mercadona will close more than ten of its supermarkets on Saturday, October 24, to observe local holidays. The closures will most significantly impact Córdoba, where all twelve of the chain's stores will remain closed in honor of the feast of San Rafael Arcángel.

Additional closures are expected in Hellín, Albacete, and Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Gran Canaria, due to local festivities. The company follows a policy of closing on Sundays and local holidays to respect regional calendars and facilitate worker rest, though some exceptions are made for tourist areas during the summer.

Stores are scheduled to resume their regular operating hours of 09:00 to 21:30 once the holiday and the standard Sunday closure have concluded.
