Mercari launches new TV commercial featuring Snow Man's Daisuke Sakuma

Mercari has launched a new television commercial titled ‘Konbini de, Mercari, Arikamo’ (Maybe Mercari at the Convenience Store), featuring Daisuke Sakuma of the group Snow Man. The campaign, which began airing across Japan on August 17, focuses on the convenience and security of Mercari’s anonymous shipping service.

The advertisement uses a comedic approach to demonstrate how users can easily ship items from convenience stores without needing to write down addresses. Sakuma portrays a ‘Mercari Recommended Brother’ character who appears in various sizes, from miniature versions to a giant figure, alongside a finger-mounted companion character named ‘Mini Meru-chan.’

Sakuma, who also provides the voice acting for the ‘Mini Meru-chan’ character, highlighted the peace of mind provided by the service, noting that the anonymity of addresses protects both buyers and sellers.
