Mercat de Música Viva de Vic opens 38th edition

The 38th edition of the Mercat de Música Viva de Vic (MMVV) has commenced in Vic, Spain. The event features over 70 artistic proposals distributed throughout the city, with a specific focus on professional networking at the Atlàntida venue through sessions such as pitchings and speed meetings intended to connect artists, record labels, and programmers.

The inaugural ceremony included the presence of Vic Mayor Albert Castells, Generalitat Culture Minister Sònia Hernández, and Spanish Culture Minister Ernest Urtasun. The event is currently under the direction of Joan Rial, Jordi Casadesús, and Rubèn Pujol. The festival celebrates its long-standing role in the musical ecosystem and its commitment to the Catalan language and professional industry links.
