Mercator and Livnica Visoko undergo major corporate restructuring
Mercator is accelerating the sale of its real estate holdings across Slovenia, including properties in Maribor, Novo Mesto, and Rogaška Slatina. This move is part of a broader strategy by its owner, Fortenova Group, to exit non-strategic processing and service activities. Recent restructuring efforts include the transfer of real estate and land to FNG Property SI, the sale of the Mercator-Embes business building, and the spin-off of the wholesale division into a new entity, Mercator Cash&Carry.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, Livnica Visoko is undergoing a significant reorganization following the takeover of control by businessman Adnan Smailbegović through his company, Wood Team. Shareholders have approved a plan to change the company’s legal form from a joint-stock company (d.d.) to a limited liability company (d.o.o.). This transition will lead to the company’s withdrawal from the stock market, meaning its shares will no longer be traded publicly and the company will no longer have stock exchange reporting obligations.
