Mercedes-AMG announces multi-car entry for Suzuka 1000km

Mercedes-AMG has announced a significant presence for the upcoming Suzuka 1000km, a round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge (IGTC) scheduled for September 11-13. The manufacturer will field multiple Mercedes-AMG GT3 entries to bolster its championship standings.

Craft-Bamboo Racing will enter two cars. The No. 77 Pro class entry will feature a lineup of Maxime Martin, Luca Stolz, and Kaku Ohta. Martin and Stolz are currently high in the IGTC drivers’ standings, sitting second and third respectively. The No. 28 Pro-Am entry will be driven by Joao Paulo de Oliveira, Daisuke Yamawaki, and Kevin Tse.

In addition to the Craft-Bamboo entries, 75 Express will also participate with a Mercedes-AMG GT3 driven by Philippe Ellis and Mikael Grenier, alongside team owner Kenny Hubble. To add a unique visual element, the Craft-Bamboo cars will feature special liveries: the Pro car will sport a green-and-yellow scheme inspired by classic Tokyo taxis, while the Pro-Am car will use a red scheme inspired by Hong Kong taxis.
