Mercedes-AMG launches all-electric CLA 45 with 680 hp
Mercedes-AMG has officially opened orders for the all-electric CLA 45 4MATIC+, available in both Sedan and Shooting Brake body styles. The high-performance compact features a sophisticated three-motor axial flux system, delivering a combined maximum power of 500 kW (680 hp) and 1,759 Nm of torque. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 2.7 seconds and has a top speed of up to 270 km/h with the AMG Dynamic Plus package.
Built on the MMA platform with an 800-volt architecture, the model offers a WLTP range of over 670 km for the sedan. Fast charging capabilities allow the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in roughly 22 minutes. To appeal to traditional performance enthusiasts, the car includes software-driven features that simulate internal combustion engine sounds and gear shifts, as well as seat vibrations to mimic V8 sensations. Mercedes CEO Ola Källenius praised the driving experience, describing it as having the character of a V8.
In Germany, pricing starts at approximately €79,039 for the sedan and €80,408 for the Shooting Brake. The model has already set a category record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife with a time of 7:32.070.
