Mercedes-AMG develops new 1,150-hp electric SUV
Mercedes-AMG is developing a new high-performance electric SUV, the first model from the Affalterbach division to be developed exclusively as an electric vehicle. The SUV is expected to feature approximately 1,150 horsepower, powered by three compact axial flux motors from YASA.
The vehicle will utilize an 800-volt architecture and a 106 kWh silicon-anode battery. This technology aims to support 600 kW charging speeds, allowing for a charge of nearly 450 kilometers in approximately 11 minutes. The model is built on the AMG.EA platform, similar to the AMG GT 4-door Limousine.
