Mercedes-AMG GT 43 sports car launches in Argentina with $229,900 price tag
Prestige Auto, the exclusive Mercedes‑Benz dealer in Argentina, has introduced the Mercedes‑AMG GT 43. The new model uses a 2.0‑litre turbocharged inline‑four paired with a 48‑volt mild‑hybrid system and an electric turbocharger derived from Mercedes‑AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 technology. It produces 421 hp (500 Nm) and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, with a top speed of 280 km/h.
The GT 43 is rear‑wheel drive and equipped with a nine‑speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT transmission. It comes standard with the AMG DYNAMIC PLUS package, which includes an electronic limited‑slip differential, dynamic motor mounts, the RACE driving mode, a 10 mm lower suspension, and an active carbon‑fiber aerodynamic panel that deploys at 80 km/h. Interior highlights feature an 11.9‑inch vertical multimedia screen, MBUX with augmented‑reality navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a Burmester surround‑sound system, and a head‑up display. Safety equipment comprises DISTRONIC PLUS adaptive cruise control, PRE‑SAFE, a 360° camera, lane‑change assist and other driver‑assistance systems. The vehicle is priced at US$229,900 and is offered in a range of colours with optional MANUFAKTUR finishes.
