Mercedes-AMG GT 53 4‑Door Coupe electric unveiled with 800 km range

Mercedes‑AMG has introduced the GT 53 4‑Door Coupe as the entry‑level model of its all‑electric GT family. The car delivers 544 hp (400 kW) and 800 Nm of torque from two permanent‑magnet synchronous motors, achieving 0‑100 km/h in about 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 230 km/h (250 km/h with the optional AMG Driver’s Package). A 106 kWh battery on an 800‑volt architecture provides a WLTP‑certified range of 682‑809 km, with the manufacturer quoting more than 800 km on long‑distance cycles. Fast‑charging supports up to 600 kW, adding roughly 530‑534 km of range in ten minutes (10‑80 % in around 11 minutes). Prices start at €115,430 in Germany, €119,452 in the Netherlands and €129,500 in Portugal, with sales beginning on 13 August 2026. The GT 53 includes AMG Force Sport+ simulated six‑cylinder engine sound, virtual gear‑shift paddles, multiple drive modes, AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all‑wheel drive, adaptive suspension, active rear spoiler and other aerodynamic aids, aiming to combine high performance with long‑distance usability.
