Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series prototype spotted testing near Nürburgring

Spy photos captured near the Nürburgring reveal that the 2027 Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series is moving closer to its production debut. Unlike earlier prototypes that closely resembled GT3 racing cars, the latest test mules feature bodywork that appears much more aligned with a road-going production model.

Key design updates include redesigned headlight clusters featuring a new lighting signature, revised rear lights, and a larger active rear spoiler. The vehicle's aerodynamics have been significantly modified, with new bumpers, side skirts, and a revised diffuser area. Notable additions include a small fin on the rear window and a more production-oriented fuel filler cap.

Internally designated with the codename X192, the Black Series will serve as the halo model for the second-generation GT Coupe family. The car is expected to feature a flat-plane V8 engine and high-performance components, including Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires and carbon-ceramic brakes.
