Mercedes AMG GT electric four‑door sells out in a day amid 140‑year brand celebration

Mercedes‑Benz opened orders for its new all‑electric AMG GT four‑door coupe on 27 May 2026. All production slots for the 2026 model year were allocated within 24 hours, with deliveries not expected until the first quarter of 2027. The car will be built at the Mercedes‑Benz Factory 56 in Sindelfingen, Germany, and is priced around €154,700. It features a triple‑motor layout delivering up to 860 kW (1 169 hp) and an estimated WLTP range of 700–720 km.

In the same year the company marked its 140th anniversary, launching the most extensive model programme in its history. More than 40 new models, including an updated S‑Class and the production version of the Concept AMG GT XX, are slated for release over the next two years, underscoring Mercedes‑Benz’s focus on electrification, digitalisation and sustainability.
