Mercedes-AMG to unveil first electric GT SUV in October 2026
Mercedes-AMG is set to unveil its first fully electric SUV, the Mercedes-AMG GT SUV, on October 17, 2026. The world premiere is expected to take place at The 140 Festival hosted by the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart.
Developed from the ground up on the dedicated AMG.EA platform, this model will be the second vehicle built on this architecture, following the AMG GT 4-Door electric. Positioned as a high-performance super-SUV, it will sit above the existing EQE and EQS SUV models, competing with vehicles such as the Lotus Eletre and the upcoming Porsche Cayenne Electric.
While official technical specifications have not been confirmed by the manufacturer, reports suggest the vehicle may share components with the AMG GT 4-Door, potentially including an 800-volt architecture and a 106 kWh battery. Production is expected to be handled at the Sindelfingen plant, with initial customer deliveries projected to begin in 2027.
