Mercedes-AMG unveils limited CLE 646 Spezialanfertigung coupe

Mercedes-AMG has announced the CLE 646 Spezialanfertigung, a highly exclusive high-performance coupe limited to just 30 units worldwide. The vehicle is part of the brand's “Mythos” series and was developed by engineers in Affalterbach to push the limits of driving dynamics.

Built upon the technical foundation of the CLE 53, this special edition undergoes a significant transformation. It features a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine producing 646 hp and 850 Nm of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Unlike its donor model, the CLE 646 utilizes a pure rear-wheel-drive configuration.

To enhance performance, the vehicle has seen a weight reduction of approximately 170 kg through the extensive use of carbon fiber and the removal of rear seats and soundproofing. It also features a widened body, a specialized suspension system developed with KW Automotive, and ceramic brakes. The car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 310 km/h.
