Mercedes-Benz A-Class may transition to crossover design
The next generation of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class is expected to undergo a significant design shift, potentially transitioning from a hatchback to a crossover format. According to early reports from German media, the compact model, anticipated around 2028, may return to its original spirit while adopting a more versatile body style.
The new model is expected to be approximately 4.40 meters in length, aiming to provide a more spacious interior and larger trunk capacity compared to previous iterations. It will be built on the MMA platform, which supports both hybrid and 100% electric powertrains. This platform is also utilized for other compact Mercedes models, including the CLA, GLA, and GLB.
