Mercedes-Benz and Citroën unveil new electric vehicles for 2026

Mercedes‑Benz confirmed development of an AMG‑badge electric C‑Class. The C 400 4MATIC version already offers 360 kW, while the upcoming AMG model is said to deliver around 800 hp from three electric motors and retain a 94.5 kWh lithium‑ion battery. Prototypes have been spotted on public roads in Germany and Austria, with a launch planned for the end of 2026.

Citroën introduced a limited‑edition ë‑C3 Tonic aimed at young urban buyers. The model adds a red or black painted roof, black front pillars, roof rails, a rear spoiler and bright‑yellow exterior accents. Inside, a 10‑inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto replaces the standard smartphone holder. Two battery options are offered: a 30 kWh pack delivering up to 206 km (city‑only up to 293 km) and a 44 kWh pack giving a combined range of 309 km (city‑only up to 440 km). The Tonic edition is scheduled for release on 2 July 2026.
