Mercedes-Benz expands electric vehicle lineup in Asia
Mercedes-Benz has launched new electric models in Hong Kong and Taiwan, intensifying competition in the luxury EV market. In Hong Kong, the company introduced the all-electric C-Class and GLC SUV. The C 400 4MATIC sedan features a 94kWh battery, 489hp, and a WLTP range of up to 762km. The GLC lineup includes the rear-wheel-drive GLC 250 AMG Line and the all-wheel-drive GLC 400 4MATIC, both utilizing an 800V architecture capable of rapid charging.
In Taiwan, Mercedes-Benz has begun pre-sales for the electric GLC, featuring the GLC 300 and GLC 400 4MATIC models. Notably, emergency rescue manuals suggest a potential entry-level GLC 250 electric model may also be released to compete with the BMW iX3, which recently entered the Taiwanese market with a lower price point.
