Mercedes-Benz expands electric vehicle lineup in Thailand and Vietnam
Mercedes-Benz is expanding its electric vehicle lineup with the introduction of new models in Southeast Asian markets. The all-new electric GLC is set to launch in Thailand on September 23. This model features the MB.OS operating system, which integrates artificial intelligence from Microsoft and Google, and includes the MBUX Hyperscreen. The vehicle is designed with a focus on digital intelligence and high-speed charging capabilities.
In Vietnam, the Mercedes-Benz CLA 200 EV has been spotted at an emissions testing center in Hanoi, signaling an upcoming market entry. Expected to launch in early 2027, the CLA 200 EV is projected to be priced under 1.7 billion VND. The model features an 800V architecture supporting DC fast charging up to 320 kW, a 58 kWh battery, and a driving range of approximately 459 to 542 km per charge according to WLTP standards.
