Mercedes-Benz expands electric lineup and manufacturing footprint

Mercedes-Benz is expanding its vehicle lineup and manufacturing strategy globally. In Brazil, the company has launched the Classe V, a luxury seven-seater van available in V 300 Avantgarde and Elegance trims. These models feature a 2.0L turbo gasoline engine with 231 hp and premium interior configurations designed for executive transport.

In the electric segment, Mercedes-AMG has introduced the electric CLA 45 4MATIC+, a high-performance model delivering 680 hp and capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds. Additionally, the VLE electric van range is expanding with the VLE 400 4MATIC, which offers 421 hp, all-wheel drive, and a range of up to 654 km.

On the production front, Mercedes is investing approximately one billion euros to expand its Kecskemét plant in Hungary. This expansion aims to increase production of electric models like the C-Class and GLC, positioning the Hungarian site as a cost-effective alternative to German manufacturing facilities.
