Mercedes-Benz expands SUV lineup with luxury Maybach and electric GLA models

Mercedes-Benz continues to expand its diverse SUV lineup, ranging from ultra-luxury models to high-performance electric compacts. The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 serves as the brand's flagship luxury SUV, featuring a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 and positioning itself against competitors like the Rolls-Royce Cullinan.

In the compact premium segment, the new generation Mercedes-Benz GLA has been fully redesigned. The updated model is longer and more spacious, initially launching exclusively as an electric vehicle with three configurations offering up to 354 hp. A high-performance Mercedes-AMG version of the electric GLA is also in final testing, featuring aerodynamic enhancements and upgraded braking systems. The GLA competes directly with the BMW X1, which offers a broader range of internal combustion and hybrid powertrains.

Other updates include the Mercedes-Benz GLB, which emphasizes family utility with hybrid and fully electric options, and technical evaluations of the GLC 400 4Matic Electric, which demonstrates efficient charging capabilities at high-voltage Superchargers.
