Mercedes-Benz highlights heavy-duty Actros and Arocs truck performance

Mercedes-Benz is highlighting the technical capabilities of its heavy-duty truck models, specifically the Actros and Arocs, designed for long-haul and specialized heavy transport.

The Actros series is optimized for long-distance freight. Its high-performance version features a 390 kW (530 PS) engine delivering 2,600 Nm of torque. This power output is intended to maintain stability and efficiency during heavy loads and steep climbs, reducing the need for frequent gear changes and maintaining speed on demanding routes.

The Arocs 2653 is positioned for off-road and heavy-load specialist tasks, such as construction site operations. It utilizes a third-generation 12.8-liter OM 471 diesel engine, also producing 390 kW (530 PS) and 2,600 Nm of torque. A key technical feature for this model is the optional Turbo-Retarder-Kupplung (TRK), which serves as a high-performance engine brake and is designed to improve performance in harsh, heavy-duty environments.
