Mercedes-Benz Kecskemét Plant Funds Youth Sports for Over 6,000 Children

The Mercedes‑Benz plant in Kecskemét, Hungary, continues its TAO corporate‑tax‑based program, allocating 857 million forints to 26 amateur sports clubs. The transparent application process attracted 50 proposals, of which 48 projects were approved – 42 for youth training and six for facility upgrades.

The funding supports six team sports – basketball, handball, ice hockey, football, volleyball and water polo – and expands regular sport opportunities for more than 6,000 children across Kecskemét and 20 surrounding towns. The plant plans to maintain this level of support through at least 2026, reinforcing community cohesion and long‑term participation in organized sport.
