Mercedes-Benz launches all-electric C-Class sedan

Mercedes-Benz has introduced a new all-electric C-Class, marking a significant transition for the brand toward dedicated electric architectures. The vehicle is built on the MB.EA (Mercedes-Benz Electric Architecture) platform, a modular technical base designed specifically for future electric models.

The flagship model, the C400 4Matic, features dual electric motors producing a combined 490 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. This configuration allows the sedan to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4 seconds. Utilizing an 800-volt architecture, the vehicle offers a range of up to 760 km and supports rapid charging, capable of increasing range by 325 km in approximately 10 minutes.

Design elements focus on aerodynamic efficiency, achieving a drag coefficient of 0.22. The exterior features a sleek, coupe-like silhouette with integrated lighting signatures and automatic door handles. The model also incorporates a new two-speed gearbox paired with all-wheel drive to manage its performance capabilities.
