Mercedes-Benz launches new CLA Shooting Brake models

Mercedes-Benz has introduced the third-generation CLA Shooting Brake, featuring both hybrid and electric powertrain options. In Japan, the entry-level CLA180 Shooting Brake has gained social media attention for its value proposition, offering a 1.5L turbocharged engine paired with mild-hybrid technology and an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. This model achieves a fuel consumption rate of 20km/L under WLTC testing.

The new generation emphasizes advanced technology, including the MBUX Super Screen system and a large panoramic glass roof with low-emissivity coating. Safety features include blind-spot assist, lane keeping, and emergency steering assistance.

In Australia, the upcoming 2027 lineup will include the CLA 200 Shooting Brake petrol hybrid and the first-ever all-electric CLA Shooting Brake electric. The electric variant features an 800-volt architecture capable of 320kW DC fast charging, providing a range of up to 511km (WLTP).
