Mercedes-Benz launches updated S-Class flagship in Taiwan

Mercedes-Benz has launched the updated S-Class flagship sedan in Taiwan, marking a significant technological evolution for the model. The new iteration features over 50% updated components, encompassing improvements in electronic architecture, driver assistance, digital cockpits, and rear-seat experiences.

Mark Raine, President of Mercedes-Benz Taiwan, expressed optimism regarding the local luxury vehicle market. He attributed the potential for increased sales to Taiwan’s strong economic fundamentals, including robust GDP growth and a positive performance in the stock market, which have bolstered consumer confidence among high-end buyers.

The S-Class lineup in Taiwan includes four models, with prices ranging from approximately 4.99 million to nearly 9 million TWD. Beyond the flagship S-Class, the company noted that mid-sized SUVs like the GLA, GLB, and GLC remain core sales drivers, while the recent introduction of the CLA has successfully attracted new customer segments and increased the adoption of electric vehicle models.
