Mercedes-Benz celebrates 140 years with global tour and festivals
Mercedes-Benz is conducting a series of global initiatives to celebrate its 140th anniversary. A central component of the celebration is the ‘140 Years. 140 Places’ campaign, which featured a journey across six continents using the new S-Class. This global tour visited 140 symbolic locations representing the brand's history and international presence, including stops in South America, Asia, Africa, and Oceania, before concluding in Stuttgart, Germany.
In addition to the global tour, the anniversary includes localized events such as an art presentation by Noah Becker in Munich, titled ‘MERCEDES-BENZ – 140 PLACES’, which drew inspiration from personal stories shared by people regarding the brand.
Further celebrations are scheduled for October 18, 2026, at the Mercedes-Benz Museum. The ‘140 Festival’ will feature historical vehicles ranging from the 1886 Benz Patent-Motorwagen to the modern S-Class, alongside engine starts, classic car rides, and the appearance of the new Mercedes-AMG GT SUV.
