Mercedes-Benz unveils major C-Class facelift with AI integration

Mercedes-Benz has announced a major technical and design update for the C-Class Saloon and Estate models. This facelift aims to unify the design language between the internal combustion engine (ICE) versions and the electric models. Key exterior changes include a redesigned front end with an illuminated grille, new micro-LED Digital Light technology, and star-patterned lighting motifs in the headlamps and tail lights.

The update introduces the new MB. OS operating system and the fourth-generation MBUX infotainment system. These digital upgrades integrate artificial intelligence through technologies such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Bing, and Google Gemini, allowing for more natural, multi-turn voice conversations and context-aware assistance. The system also supports enhanced over-the-air (OTA) updates.

Mechanical improvements focus on electrification and efficiency. The lineup will feature updated petrol and diesel engines prepared for upcoming EU7 standards, alongside plug-in hybrid models offering an electric range of up to 100 km (WLTP). The updated models are expected to be available for order starting in August 2026, with German pricing starting at approximately 48,844 euros including VAT.
