Mercedes-Benz updates C-Class with new design and AI technology
Mercedes-Benz is updating its C-Class lineup, which continues to utilize the MRA (Mercedes Rear Architecture) platform designed for internal combustion engines. The update includes aesthetic refinements to align with the brand's latest design language, such as a new grille with contour lighting, updated headlight and taillight signatures, and new wheel options ranging from 17 to 19 inches. For the first time, the AMG Line Plus package will be available, featuring sports seats and black gloss accents.
The 2026 C-Class redesign focuses heavily on digital integration and perceived quality. The interior features a driver-oriented dashboard with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.9-inch central vertical touchscreen. A major technological advancement is the introduction of the new MB.OS operating system, which powers the MBUX Virtual Assistant. This assistant incorporates artificial intelligence from ChatGPT, Microsoft Bing, and Google Gemini to handle complex requests and maintain conversational context. Navigation is also enhanced through Google Maps integration and AI-driven tools.
