Mercedes claims its power unit remains strongest after Belgian GP

Team principal Toto Wolff said Mercedes' power unit is the most powerful on the grid, disputing the ADUO ranking that placed the Red Bull‑Ford unit ahead. Wolff acknowledged that both Mercedes cars suffered from turbo‑pressure loss at Spa‑Francorchamps, which reduced straight‑line speed and affected George Russell’s race, but asserted the team is working to improve reliability and performance.

Ferrari rookie Kimi Antonelli, speaking after the race, highlighted the upcoming Hungarian Grand Prix at Budapest as a circuit that favors his car’s low‑speed cornering ability. He noted that while Ferrari performed well at Spa, Mercedes remains competitive on twisty sections and expects a close battle among the four front‑running teams.
