Mercedes Classic Center expands workshop area in Fellbach

The Mercedes Classic Center in Fellbach, near Stuttgart, has completed a major expansion, nearly doubling its workshop area to approximately 10,000 square meters. The total facility, which includes a showroom and integrated sales for parts and accessories, now covers nearly 18,000 square meters.

Marcus Breitschwerdt, head of Mercedes-Benz Heritage GmbH, stated that the facility is the world's largest restoration and workshop operation for Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The center houses specialized departments for bodywork, painting, engine construction, electronics, and upholstery, and provides access to one of the largest corporate archives for technical vehicle data.

This development coincides with the centenary of the 1926 merger between automotive pioneers Benz and Daimler, which formed Daimler-Benz AG. The brand first showcased its unified product portfolio at the Berlin Automobile Salon in October 1926.
