Germany police reports: Fatal tram accident and various criminal incidents

Various police and judicial incidents have been reported across Germany. In Berlin-Grünau, a woman died at the scene after being struck and trapped under a tram on Regattastraße.

In Jena, the former chairman of the Jenaer Tafel was sentenced to one year and nine months of probation for breach of trust involving 40 cases. While the prosecution initially estimated 73,000 euros in damages, a board member cited losses exceeding 190,000 euros. The defendant claimed he was a victim of a fraud scheme involving a supposed inheritance from Africa.

Traffic-related incidents include a 21-year-old driving the wrong way on the A6 with a blood alcohol level of 2.3 per mille, and a 20-year-old in Kassel who fled from police in a Mercedes at speeds of 110 km/h. In Sankt Augustin, a 36-year-old was stopped for driving under the influence after running a red light.

Other criminal activities include the arrest of a 19-year-old in Offenburg for e-bike theft and drug possession, and various reports from the Mansfeld-Südharz region involving driving without a license and thefts from vehicles and cemeteries.
