Mercedes festival introduces milk donation for concert entry

The anniversary festival in Mercedes has introduced a social initiative for its national concert lineup. To attend the shows scheduled for September 11 and 12, attendees must donate one liter of long-life milk.

All collected milk will be donated to the Hospital do Câncer de Cascavel (Ceonc) and the União Oeste Paranaense de Estudos e Combate ao Câncer (Uopeccan) to support patients undergoing cancer treatment. The donation requirement applies specifically to the performances by Roupa Nova on Friday and Pedro Paulo e Alex on Saturday.

Mayor Laerton Weber stated that the city expects to gather more than 10,000 people over the two days. While the donation amount is voluntary, it is required for entry to these specific shows. The Sunday event, the Festa Nacional do Costelão Recheado, will not require a solidarity entrance.
