Regional festivals held in Mercedes, Olavarría, and Durazno
Various regional festivals and cultural celebrations are taking place across Uruguay and Argentina.
In Mercedes, Argentina, the 8th Mercedes Brewers Festival concluded with high attendance at Parque Municipal Independencia. Despite previous rain, the event successfully promoted local beer production, gastronomy, and employment. In Olavarría, Argentina, the second edition of the ‘Prost!’ Oktoberfest is scheduled for October 10 and 11 at Parque Helios Eseverri. The free event will feature local brewers, German folk dancing, and various musical acts. Additionally, the town of Villa Alfredo Fortabat is preparing for its traditional ‘Fiesta de la Torta Frita’ on October 11, featuring community food stalls and local artisans.
In Durazno, Uruguay, the city is celebrating its anniversary with a Marching Band Festival at Parque del Bicentenario on October 11. The event will feature a parade and performances from various military and community bands from across the country, including groups from Rivera, Tacuarembó, and Montevideo.
