Mercedes-Benz expands luxury and electric lineup with new Maybach GLS, VLE limousine and electric C‑Class

Mercedes-Benz announced several additions to its premium range. The Maybach GLS 680 SUV received a restyled exterior and a price tag reflecting its ultra‑luxury positioning. A separate test compared the new Maybach S 680 with the Rolls‑Royce Phantom, highlighting bespoke features such as an ultra‑smooth electronic ashtray.

The company also unveiled the electric VLE 300 limousine, scheduled for launch in late July 2026, with AMG Line and AMG Line Plus trims, optional eight‑seat layouts and 20‑inch to 21‑inch AMG alloy wheels. Additionally, the next‑generation C‑Class will be fully electric, built on an 800‑volt architecture, delivering 330 kW charging, a 94 kWh battery and a 0‑100 km/h time of about four seconds.

These announcements signal a broad push by Mercedes‑Benz to blend ultra‑luxury with electrification across its model portfolio.
