Mercedes-Maybach S-Class gets its most extensive facelift yet
Mercedes‑Maybach has introduced the most comprehensive update in the history of its flagship S‑Class. The overhaul covers virtually every aspect of the vehicle – exterior styling, interior design, powertrain, chassis and digital architecture. A key innovation is the new Mercedes‑Benz Operating System (MB.OS), which powers the fourth‑generation MBUX infotainment platform and incorporates AI assistants that draw on technologies such as ChatGPT‑4o, Microsoft Bing and Google Gemini, enabling more natural dialogue and personalized settings.
Inside, the cabin now features a unified glass‑backed Superscreen layout that combines a 36.6‑cm central display with a 31.2‑cm passenger screen, plus two 13.1‑inch rear displays. A leather‑free interior option uses ARTICO synthetic leather and a new “Mirville” textile made from linen and recycled polyester. Ambient lighting expands to 199 LEDs with 64 colour options, and comfort is boosted by automatic rear doors, upgraded executive rear seats with a cooling compartment, and an enhanced AIRMATIC air‑suspension that uses Car‑to‑X data to anticipate road surface changes. Optional E‑Active Body Control and a range of bespoke colour and trim choices round out the luxury offering.
