Mercedes Municipality improves rural roads via public-private partnership

The Municipality of Mercedes has completed the graveling and paving of one kilometer of rural road to improve connectivity and support local production. The project was executed through the ‘Esfuerzos Compartidos’ (Shared Efforts) program, a public-private partnership model.

Under this scheme, local resident Juan Larrondo, who is establishing a poultry business, provided the cost of materials at municipal witness prices. In exchange, the municipality provided the necessary labor, machinery, and fuel. The improved road is intended to facilitate the movement of trucks for the new poultry enterprise while remaining available for all local producers and residents in the area.
