Mercedes vehicle falls into excavated tram tracks in Zagreb

A Mercedes vehicle with Zagreb registration ended up in excavated tram tracks at the intersection of Maksimirska Road and Domjanićeva Street, near Kvaternik Square in Zagreb. The incident occurred on the first day of track renovation work, which began at 6:00 AM and is scheduled to continue until July 7.

While daily tram services remain regular, bus lines 201, 202, and 207 have been rerouted toward Kvaternik Square. Zagreb's traffic chief, Andro Pavuna, noted that approximately thirty vehicles have fallen into excavated tracks this year. Drivers face fines of up to 260 euros for individuals, plus the costs of vehicle extraction.
