Mercedes‑AMG electric GLA high‑performance prototype spotted in Europe

A heavily camouflaged prototype of a high‑performance electric Mercedes‑AMG GLA has been photographed during road testing in Europe. The test vehicle shows a front end with star‑styled headlights and enlarged lower air intakes, echoing the design language of the electric CLA and GLB models.

Side views reveal widened wheel arches, lightweight alloy wheels, large brakes with red calipers, low‑profile tires and a stiffer, sport‑tuned suspension. Inside, a flat leather‑Alcantara steering wheel with two integrated display buttons is visible. Based on the MMA platform, the cabin is expected to feature a 10.25‑inch digital instrument cluster, a 14‑inch central infotainment screen and an optional 14‑inch passenger‑facing display. No official specifications or launch date have been confirmed, but the leak indicates Mercedes‑AMG’s intent to extend its electric performance SUV lineup into the compact segment.
