Mercopar 2026 generates R$ 1.6 billion in business expectations

The 35th edition of Mercopar concluded in Caxias do Sul, attracting over 47,000 visitors and generating an expected R$ 1.64 billion in business, representing a 55% increase compared to 2025. Organized by Sebrae RS and Sistema FIERGS, the event featured 545 exhibitors from Brazil and Portugal, including 50 startups.

International business rounds saw participation from 31 buyers representing 15 countries, including representatives from Latin America, South Africa, and Rwanda. These sessions facilitated connections between micro and small enterprises and large industries, with business rounds alone accounting for R$ 289.4 million.

The event also emphasized sustainability and technology, focusing on automation, artificial intelligence, and green hydrogen. ESG initiatives included the use of 60,000 liters of biofuel to reduce CO2 emissions and improved accessibility through Braille menus and sign language interpreters.
