Mercure Opens New 90‑Room Hotel in Oradea, Romania

Mercure Hotels & Resorts announced the opening of Mercure Oradea, a 90‑room hotel in the historic city of Oradea near the Hungarian border. The property adds to Accor’s portfolio of 26 hotels in Romania, a fast‑growing market in Central‑Eastern Europe. It offers Classic and Privilege rooms decorated with local motifs, some with private terraces and outdoor hydro‑massage tubs, and features fast Wi‑Fi, Chromecast, minibars, climate control and smart room functions.

The hotel includes four daylight‑filled conference rooms, a heated indoor pool, dry and steam saunas, a fully equipped gym, a spa zone, and underground and surface parking with electric‑vehicle charging stations. Three dining concepts are run under the direction of certified master chef Henrik Sebok. Ownership is held by Grand Hotel West, with Spark Hospitality operating the site. The opening highlights Oradea’s growing appeal as a city‑break destination, especially for Polish travellers, and underscores Accor’s continued expansion in the region.
