Mercury holds career education seminars in Okinawa

Mercury, a human resources services company, hosted career education seminars titled “Verbalizing your unique strengths in the AI era” at two vocational schools in Okinawa: IT College Okinawa and Okinawa Business Foreign Language College.

The program, held on October 19, aimed to help approximately 90 students utilize generative AI as a tool for self-analysis. The curriculum encouraged students to start with their personal interests or “fandoms” (oshi-katsu) to lower the barrier to self-reflection, using AI to help articulate their values and strengths. The ultimate goal was to assist students in drafting self-promotional statements for upcoming job hunting activities.
