Mercury Security launches S4 I/O Module family for access control

Mercury Security has introduced the Mercury S4 I/O Module family, a new generation of intelligent modules designed to modernize and expand physical access control infrastructure. The platform allows organizations to upgrade aging systems to support cloud and mobile technologies and meet evolving cybersecurity requirements without the need for complete hardware replacements.

The S4 platform aims to improve system performance and cybersecurity posture while addressing space constraints in IT closets. For example, the MR54-S4 Reader Interface Module provides four-door capability within the same footprint previously required for a two-door module, effectively doubling door capacity. Each module can support up to 12 inputs and eight readers, reducing installation complexity and system footprint.
