Mercyhurst Athletics reports results in field hockey and volleyball

Mercyhurst University athletics saw mixed results in Friday competitions. In field hockey, the team suffered a 5-1 defeat against Quinnipiac University in Erie, Pennsylvania. Quinnipiac's Martina Calveira led the Bobcats with two goals, while Ava Bleier contributed one goal and one assist. Quinnipiac dominated the match with a 20-1 advantage in shots on goal, improving their season record to 8-4.

In volleyball, Mercyhurst secured a 3-0 sweep against Le Moyne, winning sets 26-24, 25-18, and 25-20. The Lakers recorded nine service aces and limited Le Moyne to a .094 hitting percentage. Key performances included kills from Payton Melin and Mia Mattingly, alongside service contributions from Anna Logan and Alyssa Krause.
