Merenguero José Peña Suazo shares reflection on resilience

Dominican merengue artist José Peña Suazo shared a personal reflection on social media regarding patience and perseverance during difficult times. While traveling in Bávaro, Suazo observed a small insect in a swimming pool that appeared to be dead. Upon returning the following day, he noticed the insect was still moving and placed it in a sunny area to dry its wings.

Shortly after, the insect flew away, prompting Suazo to draw a parallel between the creature's struggle and human adversity. He encouraged his followers to maintain serenity and avoid despair when facing problems, invoking the concept of 'ataraxia'—the art of maintaining calm amidst a storm. He emphasized that even when circumstances seem unfavorable, one must remain calm and wait for the opportune moment to move forward.
